With only a couple of weeks to go until Christmas, we thought you’d like an early preview of some exciting, new hand knits to think about starting in January, once all the festive fuss is over!
We have a very pretty new Snuggly baby yarn called ‘Kisses Dk’ (if you are a quick knitter you could make a little ‘Kisses’ knit in time for Christmas). Also for babies, toddlers and Children, we have a burst of gorgeous new Spring colours and designs in one of your year-round favourite yarns, the wonderfully soft and natural Baby Bamboo Dk.
If you’re still after a pressie for yourself and would like a gorgeously wearable and cosy knit, there’s a new Denim Collection book (where you’ll also find some styles for the boys) in a range of soft and classic Denim shades.
All of these new colours and designs are just arriving in many of your local Sirdar retailers, ready to start a Happy New Knitting Year in 2009!

Snuggly Kisses Dk
Snuggly Kisses Dk is a gorgeously soft double knitting baby yarn with a delicate stripe effect that appears as you knit. This pretty new yarn comes in a beautiful palette of soft, toning shades. The result is delicate stripes – perfect for little ones. Kisses Dk is reassuringly soft to touch and makes the most adorable knits for little ones.
There are 5 colours to choose from – an incredibly pretty pink, with lilac and mint for girls and cosy beige and blue for boys. There are 8 new leaflets and the ‘Little Kisses’ Book 353 and all designs go from birth to 7 years.
Snuggly Baby Bamboo Dk
We have the most wonderful new colours and designs in Baby Bamboo Dk – just the range to excite everyone for the new season ahead!
We have designed lots of colourful new styles bursting with jolly, sunny seaside colour. There are gorgeous reds and peaches in pretty lacey cover-ups for the girls and trendy cables and easy stripes in a range of deep seaside blues for boys. (These shades work beautifully in tiny baby garments as well as for older girls.)
We have created 6 new leaflets and a new book called ‘Seaside Babes’ 354 with 14 designs for girls and boys from birth to 7 years.
Denim Tweed Dk
We have used all your favourite blues, naturals and creams from the Sirdar Denim Tweed Dk, Denim Sport Aran, Denim Chunky and Denim Ultra yarn ranges for a new Collection of Denim knits. Our stunning new Denim designs are for all the family and perfect for wearing outdoors on chilly winter days.
Our new book ‘Out of the Blue’ 350 contains the complete new Denim Collection for men, women, girls and boys. It is full of easy knits and simple textures through to more intricate cables – there are designs to inspire every level of knitter and styles for everyone to wear.
From the book, we also have 2 new leaflets in Denim Tweed, and 2 Denim Aran leaflets for women, and a classic textured crew neck design for men and boys.
Crofter Dk
Crofter Dk is a beautifully soft, standard Dk yarn that has an incredible Fair Isle effect spray dyed onto the yarn, so the beautiful Fair Isle effect appears as you knit. You get the look of Fair Isle without the hard work!
Crofter Dk comes in a range of 8 subtle, Scottish heather shades, with all the pinks, lilacs and gentle greens found in the Scottish Hills and Glens

We have three gorgeous new leaflets to add even more style to this easy-to-knit yarn's collection. All 3 of our new leaflets are easy designs to knit, and are very wearable and versatile styles for younger and older women. If you prefer, you can knit our Denim Ultra yarn to these designs.
Escape Dk
We have 2 incredible new colours in Escape Dk. 'Smoulder' is a gorgeous combination of smokey blue, grey and brown and 'Desire' is a stunning new pink and heather mix. There are 2 stylish new leaflets for women and girls. There's a fashionable, round edged cardi that goes up to larger sizes and a versatile T-shaped waistcoat for winter layering.
Snuggly 4 Ply 50g
Our third early arrivals book is full of tiny knits for premature babies - it's simply called 'early arrivals 3'.
This book contains 25 designs in reassuringly soft Snuggly Dk and 4 Ply - especially for babies from premature sizes up to 12 months. We have the tiniest, most delicate little knits - cardis, hats, mitts and bootees.
These knits have been designed for comfort and ease of wearing - they are easy to get on and off and have simple buttons or ribbon ties. The Sirdar Design team have created raglan armholes wihout the seams for extra comfort and smoothness on the inside!
